The Diverse Voices: Family Violence Conference in 2007 and 2008, drew 650 professionals and had 15 to 25 speakers local and international for each conference. Her job required initiative, independence, imagination and creativity in meeting the challenges of developing volunteer job descriptions, schedules and recruitment strategies from the ground up. Further, the nature of the Magnetic North organization, with staff members spread across the country coming together in the last weeks before the festival, required strong listening, communication and intuitive skills...
